Fair Housing & Responsible Use
Listcraft is built with Fair Housing Act compliance in mind. Generated copy is a starting point. You are responsible for what you publish.
What we do
The generation prompt explicitly forbids language that describes or targets the type of buyer, including phrases like "great for families", "ideal for empty nesters", "bachelor pad", or "perfect starter home". It also avoids "master bedroom" (uses "primary bedroom"), avoids "walking distance" and "walk-in" (which can be considered ableist), and treats religious or community markers as neutral geography only.
What you should do
- Review every generated listing before publishing it.
- Verify all property facts (square footage, year built, features) match your source data.
- Stay current with your local MLS and brokerage compliance rules. They can be stricter than federal FHA.
- If your jurisdiction adds protected classes (age, marital status, source of income, sexual orientation), check that the generated copy honors those too.
What Listcraft is not
- Listcraft is not legal advice.
- Listcraft does not verify property facts you enter.
- Listcraft does not replace your brokerage's review process.
Reporting issues
If you find generated copy that violates Fair Housing standards, contact us so we can update the prompt rules. Real examples make the system better for everyone.
